A: A nanny, also known as a childcare nanny, is a professional who specializes in providing nutritional meals, daily care, health care, and early childhood education for infants aged 0-3. Their services cover feeding, sleep guidance, sensitive period education, and early skills development. Their responsibilities extend beyond just looking after children; they also include providing early childhood education, fostering good habits, and developing intelligence. Simply put, a nanny is like a baby's first teacher and life manager, all rolled into one.
So, is a nanny a childcare professional? A childcare professional is someone who has undergone nanny training, obtained a nanny certification, and demonstrated proven childcare skills and experience. Some nannies who don't have a nanny certification and lack the necessary skills and experience are not considered childcare professionals.
A nanny's primary job is to care for the baby and help new mothers adjust to postpartum life. The following are their main duties:
Morning Work:
6:00-10:00: Wake up, wash, change baby's diaper, help baby wake up, clean baby's body, feed and burp, wash face, clean mouth, and feed AD/D3.
