These centers are often located in beautiful coastal or suburban areas, utilizing detached villas or high-end apartments, emphasizing tranquility, privacy, and comfort.  The interior design focuses on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, with well-lit and well-ventilated rooms and spacious areas conducive to rest and recovery.

    In terms of services, the maternity centers employ professional culinary teams who prepare customized nutritious meals based on the pregnant woman's stage of pregnancy and dietary preferences. Ingredients are purchased fresh daily, and meals are prepared and served fresh, balancing deliciousness and health. A variety of daily activities are offered, including regular outings and walks along the beach, to help pregnant women relax. The accommodations are usually fully equipped with amenities such as kitchens and cleaning services, and some centers also provide driver services and personal assistants for added convenience.

    在德克萨斯州某月子中心，月嫂的情况有些让人头疼。月嫂的水平参差不齐，流动性大得吓人，入住期间好几个都离职了。房间门口虽然写着“负责的两个月嫂”，但实际上都是随机的。托管的宝宝在监控室里只能看到固定的一个摄像头，宝妈们拿着手机也看不到整个托管室的画面。孩子多的时候，月嫂根本忙不过来。有些宝妈看到托管室的情况后，都选择了一对一的月嫂护理，不放心的话还得额外加钱。

    餐饮体验 🍽️

    月子餐还算凑合，但只有刚入住的时候餐盘上挂着号，之后都是每屋一样的餐食，除非有特殊要求或者有便秘等情况才会改餐。最过分的是家属餐，不知道是不是后悔了，家属餐几乎没有什么肉菜，还会把上一顿月子餐的素餐当做下一顿的家属餐，说白了就是剩菜！快走的时候还上了个扫二维码的牌，可以额外点菜付费，家属餐难吃变成了另一个盈利点。

    At a postpartum care center in Texas, the situation with the nannies was quite problematic. The nannies' skill levels varied greatly, and the turnover rate was alarmingly high, with several leaving during our stay. Although the room door stated "two responsible nannies assigned," in reality, the assignments were random. The babies in the nursery could only be seen through a single fixed camera in the monitoring room, and mothers couldn't see the entire nursery on their phones. When there were many babies, the nannies were simply overwhelmed. Some mothers, after seeing the situation in the nursery, opted for one-on-one nanny care, which required extra payment if they wanted more personalized attention.

    Dining Experience 🍽️

    The postpartum meals were passable, but only the first meal had a numbered tray; after that, every room received the same meals unless there were special requests or issues like constipation. The worst part was the family meals.  It seemed they regretted offering them, as the family meals had almost no meat dishes and often consisted of leftover vegetarian dishes from the previous postpartum meal – essentially leftovers! Just before we left, they even put up a sign with a QR code for ordering extra dishes for an additional fee, turning the poor quality of the family meals into another profit opportunity.

    卫生状况 🧹

    房间不是每天打扫，每天打扫的都是保洁部门，只是换换垃圾箱，拖一下门口的瓷砖。地毯真的很脏，只有要求了才会给吸一下，根本吸不干净地上掉的菜渣啥的，桌子上天天都有灰，后期都是自己忍不了擦的。还有，千万别让月嫂把你的哺乳衣拿走出去洗，后来听别的宝妈说的，他们会拿到5楼洗衣房，是和员工共用洗衣机，并且很埋汰。床单被罩我都是用的自己的，拿回家洗完再带过去，如果在那洗估计也是在那个洗衣房。

    巡房情况 🏥

    每天都有一个月子中心的主任带着护士巡房，嗓门比较大，有时候宝宝在房间会被吓到，影响宝妈休息。还有儿科医生是医院的一个专家，一周去一次，也查到他在医院在岗专家啊，咱也不知道是专家厉害还是怎么回事，给宝宝用听诊器检查，一个位置听一秒都没有。

    Hygiene Conditions 🧹

    The rooms weren't cleaned daily; the cleaning staff only emptied the trash cans and mopped the tiles near the door. The carpet was really dirty, and they only vacuumed it upon request, but even then, they couldn't properly clean up food scraps and other debris.  There was dust on the tables every day, and I ended up cleaning them myself because I couldn't stand it anymore. Also, definitely don't let the postpartum nurse take your nursing clothes to be washed. I later heard from other mothers that they take them to the laundry room on the 5th floor, which is shared with the staff and is very dirty. I used my own sheets and duvet covers, taking them home to wash and then bringing them back. If I had them washed there, they would probably be washed in that same laundry room.

    Room Rounds 🏥

    Every day, a director from the maternity center and a nurse would do rounds. They were quite loud, and sometimes the baby would be startled, which affected my rest. Also, the pediatrician was a specialist from the hospital, but he only came once a week. I even checked his credentials at the hospital; I don't know if he was a real expert or not, but when he examined the baby with a stethoscope, he didn't even listen for a second in each position.

    其他注意事项 📏

    恶露排出时间长短每个人不一样，所以别焦虑。生完宝宝身体肯定需要一个恢复的过程，什么腹直肌分离、骨盆问题都是可以解决的，但不是月子里就会恢复好的，不要着急，有问题一定去医院治疗。千万不要办月子中心的产康，快出去那几天天天墨迹你办产康。最重要的是，后来在医院办了产康才发现医院盆底肌修复是磁电结合的并且不用额外花钱买探头，月子中心没有磁疗，像子宫脱垂的情况，不能一上来就做电疗。腹直肌分离除了非常严重的情况，都是会自行修复的，不需要治疗，集美们不要自我焦虑！

    Other Important Notes 📏

    The duration of postpartum bleeding varies from person to person, so don't be anxious. Your body definitely needs a recovery period after giving birth. Issues like diastasis recti and pelvic problems can be resolved, but they won't heal completely during the postpartum period. Don't rush, and if you have any problems, be sure to seek treatment at the hospital. Absolutely do not sign up for postpartum recovery services at a confinement center; they will constantly pressure you to buy their services during your stay. Most importantly, I later discovered at the hospital that their pelvic floor muscle repair uses a combination of magnetic and electrical stimulation and doesn't require purchasing additional probes. Confinement centers don't offer magnetic therapy, and for conditions like uterine prolapse, electrical stimulation shouldn't be the first treatment option. Diastasis recti, except in very severe cases, will heal on its own and doesn't require treatment.  Ladies, don't worry unnecessarily!
