• 爱心宝贝涉外家政作为十几年的老牌家政服务机构,我们发现,最近这几年美国华人雇主对保姆的年龄要求越来越苛刻了,无论是对照顾小孩的育儿嫂,还是照顾老人的保姆。虽然很多雇主仍然接受保姆的年龄在55岁以上,但现在仍有很大一部分雇主要求保姆的年龄在50岁以下,甚至于45岁以下。

    As a long-established domestic service agency with over a decade of experience, Aixin Baby International Domestic Service has observed that in recent years, Chinese employers in the United States have become increasingly stringent regarding the age requirements for nannies, whether for childcare or elderly care. While many employers still accept nannies over 55 years old, a significant number now require them to be under 50, or even under 45.

    从数据分析来看,年龄在45-48之间的保姆只占25%。在美国,如果雇主把保姆工资设置在4500~6000美元之间的话,年轻的保姆在雇主家能做半年以上的只占25%。

    Data analysis shows that nannies aged 45-48 only account for 25%. In the United States, if employers set nanny salaries between $4,500 and $6,000, only 25% of young nannies stay with their employers for more than six months.

    我们一定要清楚,这些年轻保姆出来,家里经济压力一般都比较大,一定会去追求更高工的资来减轻家庭负担。所以如果雇主请保姆,但却工资预算有限,请做好以下2两手准备。

    It's crucial to understand that these young caregivers typically come from families with significant financial burdens and will inevitably seek higher wages to alleviate their family's financial strain. Therefore, if an employer hires a caregiver but has a limited budget, please prepare the following two contingency plans.

    1、如果必须请年轻保姆,一定要做好加工资的准备。

    2、心态放平,随时准备好年轻保姆会走的准备。

    如果这两点都不行,那么我们可以考虑一下那些年龄稍微大点但经验较为丰富的保姆。

    1. If you must hire a young nanny, be prepared to pay a raise.

    2. Be prepared for the young nanny to leave at any time.

    If neither of these is feasible, then you can consider nannies who are slightly older but more experienced.
